Description of the problem	Sudden lack of throttle control. Three times during our trip the past two weeks from florida to maryland and back, going 75 mph on interstate 95, the engine suddenly dropped to 1000 rpm and all throttle control was lost. My wife nearly had an accident trying quickly to get to the shoulder. I was nearly re-ended by an escalade as my vehicle so quickly decelerated. Two times a wrench appeared and a driver airbag warning. The third time we got the service engine soon light. Each time i was able to shut down the car and restart it, but i decided to interrupt our trip and seek help at the nearest lincoln dealer. This was on monday, july 25. The dealer was lafayette in fayetteville, nc, a lincoln/ford dealership. [xxx], the service advisor, and [xxx] (last name ?), the service manager i believe, immediately came to our aid. [xxx] diagnosed the problem with a diagnostic tool, while [xxx] worked us into their busy schedule. The failure was the throttle body which [xxx] said is an all too common recent problem on our v-6 engine used in fords and lincolns. Their service and professionalism was extremely appreciated and they had us back on the road in a little over two hours. I sent them a thank you in their survey request. We met another couple at the dealership that suffered the same problem, only they were not able to restart it and had to be towed off i 95 to the dealership.
