Description of the problem | Consumer states the a/c was inoperative. Outside shop found a/c manifold line was leaking and had to be replaced caused by stress from suspended subframe. Outside shop claimed when recall repairs to replace subframe bolts which entailed lifting the engine and / or lowering it put stress on the front bolts, thus shearing off the bolt located on the front end right side. This caused the engine to drop which caused damage to the a/c. Dealer claimed that damage was caused by outside shop who repaired a/c seven months prior. There were impact marks indication that the service performed when reapiring the a/c or vehicle was involved in an accident which created the problem. *tt |
