Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan altima. The contact stated that the passenger seat computer was updated instead of receiving a new air bag. Sheehy nissan of glen burnie (7232 ritchie hwy, glen burnie, md 21061, (410) 754-1777) repaired the vehicle per nhtsa campaign number: 16v911000 (air bags). The contact inquired about the air bag replacement and was informed by the dealer that the recall was for the passenger seat sensor, and not to replace the air bags. The manufacturer was not informed. The failure mileage was 57,000. *tt consumer stated i have been informed that the noted vehicle does not have "takata air bag" installed , however "nissan" has not verified this.
