Description of the problem | The vehicle has previously been part of a recall related to the passenger airbag sensor in that the sensor would fail to detect a seated adult and display that the passenger airbag was off. The vehicle was reportedly repaired by the dealer service department in 2017, however, the issue has been noted again. Attempts to have nissan diagnosis and repair this issue as part of the previous recall campaign were unsuccessful. Nissan states that the vehicle is no longer under standard warranty and any costs associated with repair would be the responsibility of the owner. Nissan case #36131009. The vehicle has been noted to have the passenger airbag disabled while stationary and in motion. |
