Description of the problem | On november 8th my daughter was driving my 2015 nissan altima and the rpm starting going up and as she was pressing the gas the car wouldn't move and the check engine light came on. I took the car to the nissan dealership and they told me the transmission is going bad in my car and that it would cost me $4500. 00 to get fixed. After talking to several people i was informed that there is a recall on the 2015 nissan altima with a 4 cylinder engine. If there is a recall then why is my local dealership trying to get me to pay. I wen to the nhtsa. Gov website and typed in my vin number and it showed that my vehicle is recalled. Do i take my vehicle to another nissan dealership and file a complaint with the bbb on that dealership? I don't have $4500. 00 to fix my transmission especially when there is a recall on it. |
