Description of the problem | There is an active recall for the hood latch which nissan has no resolution for at this time. First- this same recall existed on my 2014 nissan altima and while the current recall is listed at june 2020 for the 2017 altima this issue is not new or unknown to nissan. They simply do not know how to permanently and safely resolve the issues. Second- the current "fix" is to press down firmly on the hood every time before driving. This is not a resolution and owners of vehicles impacted by this recall should qualify for a mandatory buy back from the manufacturer. |
