Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan pathfinder. When the contact started the vehicle by using the remote start feature, the vehicle doors automatically locked while idling. The contact stated that the failure occurred during extreme heat. During the failure, a child occupant was secured in the vehicle and the contact was unable to unlock the vehicle. The fire department was contacted and was able to manually wedge the door open. The contact discovered that 60 seconds after the remote start was initiated, the vehicle locked itself as a security measure. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 65,401. |
