Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2003 nissan pathfinder. When the brake pedal was applied, it failed to function. The emergency brake was applied to prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. In addition, the contact was not notified, but the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 11v244000 (steering, suspension). The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the brake failure and indicated that extensive repairs were required. The contact was offered a buy back versus a repair solution.
