Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan pathfinder. Upon opening the liftgate, the passenger side strut arm fractured and a popping noise was heard. The contact stated that the gate lowered and struck him on the head. There were no injuries. Boch nissan (525 boston providence hwy, norwood, ma 02062) diagnosed that the liftgate strut system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The contact sent pictures of the liftgate corrosion. The manufacturer opened a case and agreed to cover 70% of the repair cost. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000. |
