Description of the problem | While driving at a speed of 75mp on the highway at approximately 10:30 am the sunroof exploded. The sun shade was open but the sunroof was closed during the explosion. The weather sunny and clear with a temp of about 40 degrees. I hadn't passed a semi or truck or an overpass. I maintained our speed until i was able to pull over and assess the damage. Passenger in the back seat received minor cuts on his leg. The car was purchased used from dealership in april 2018. It had 34,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. I had a "crash protector" placed over the sunroof by safelite glass repair until replacement part is available. |
