Description of the problem | Driving down the road and my sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gunshot went through the sunroof. Glass fell down onto my wife and 2 kids in the back seat. There were no rocks in front of me for debris to come back. The whole thing shattered. It didn't have a crack or spider. I have read numerous other issues like this on the internet and consumer reports recently wrote an article about this. Nissan was in the top 3 having this issue. I went to my dealer and he thought we were crazy and assumed we caused this damage and tried to explain their were related articles online with the same issues as my experience. It was very scary and could've been dangerous if there were other vehicles behind us because, we had to slam on our brakes. I also purchased extended warranty and they would not cover it. |
