Description of the problem | On 12/22/18 we were leaving the driveway when we heard a loud banging/clicking noise from the cooling fan on the driver side. Have taken it to a local mechanic and they said that the entire cooling fan assemble needs to be replaced. Spoke with cape girardeau, mo nissan dealership and they confirmed that there was a recall on this part for 12-13 nissan pathfinders, but not for the 2015s. They gave me a quote of $730. 00 plus taxes to repair. Don't know if vehicle can even be driven because it is unknown as to what the fan is bumping against. Dealer said if it is bumping against the radiator, it could cause a leak or severe damage. If the fan blades are hitting something else, they could break and could cause engine damage. We would need to have vehicle towed about 60 miles to dealership for them to replace the fan assembly. |
