Description of the problem | I was driving my 2015 nissan pathfinder on the expressway with my wife in the passenger seat and 2 kids (8 & 9) in the rear seat. I had the sunroof closed but the shade screen open. All of a sudden there was a loud bang and the sunroof glass shattered. Then myself, wife and kids got showered from some of the broken glass while i was still driving. When this happened my wife and kids were scared and screaming and i quickly managed to close the shade screen and pull to the highway shoulder. After searching online i have learned that this is not an uncommon issue with sunroofs, specifically nissan. I have since called my insurance who will cover the damage and also filed a claim with nissan to see if they will cover the damage. |
