Description of the problem | While driving my vehicle in town, approx. 40mph up a slight incline the transmission stopped engaging and rpm's started to increase while speed dropped. Vehicle has 110,000 miles on it. I came dangerously close to getting into several accidents trying to safely pull over. There was a transmission shop nearby and i barely made it there and they looked into this issue. They said my only option would be to have the cvt replaced. They said i would be putting myself and others at risk of injury if i continued to try and drive it in this condition. The vehicle had no prior issues/warning signs prior to this failure. I strongly believe nissan should replace my cvt at their expense. |
