Description of the problem	This car is notorious for cvt transmission problems. Nissan has already extended warranties for rogues prior to 2010, but of course mine is a newer 2012 model. On multiple occasions when attempting to accelerate, the car has basically shut off. Once, after getting off the ramp from 288 to hull street, i attempted to accelerate up a slight hill and the car just would not go to the point where i had my foot floored and nothing. I let off, was able to pull to the side of the road where it shook then shut off. I had the car towed to a local repair shop where they weren't able to find anything wrong. Just today, i was driving 65 down the highway and attempted to accelerate just to get infront of another car to prepare for the upcoming exit and mid pushing down on the gas pedal... It just stops going. I was luckily able to get into the right lane again and pull over to the car shakes then shuts off. I let it sit for about 15 minutes, and was able to start it back up and go without seemingly without a problem again. This is my family vehicle. I am afraid this is going to happen to me one day in major traffic and cause an incident possibly hurting me, my family or others. I have read many forums with hundreds of people having this same issue. Something really needs to be done about it from nissan. These cars are not safe to drive, but i am basically stuck in a car loan i can't get out of. I have no choice.
