Description of the problem | Vehicle had cvt transmission failure at 90,000 miles. Car speed uncontrollable between slow or too fast on the highway. Nissan dealer indicated transmission was failing, but would not replace it. I filed with nissan consumer services to check vehicle since cvt transmission failures are being repaired by other car manufacturers. Nissan has refused to address the issue and mechanic agreed this is a failure on the company's side. I had to replace the transmission at a cost of $6,000 and there are still issues with the boot and front case transfers that are not working properly. I'm requesting for nissan to issue a recall against faulty cvt transmissions and replace these since these are dangerous on the highway. |
