Description of the problem | I was on a highway in heavy traffic, travelling 5 mph in a brand new nissan car that i had recently leased. I had to stop and go several times. During this time my brakes failed sporadically. Each time it stopped only after hitting the truck ahead. I was towed to the nearest nissan dealer. It then took me two weeks to get to speak to an appropriate person. He was part of nissan's arbitration department. He said he himself would feel unsafe to drive this car, and that his wife would definitely not let him drive it, even if nissan failed to duplicate the problem. Therefore, if nissan can? T duplicate the problem, i need to keep the same car. I have read reports on the nhtsa website that even after cars with similar brake problems were repaired, the same problem recurred. At the time of the incident the mileage on the car was 3200. |
