Description of the problem | Loss of acceleration due to overheated transmission; my 2013 nissan rogue with 66,000 miles on it started to lose acceleration on a major interstate (65mph to 30mph). I took it to my local dealership and they told me that this is a common problem with rogues, and that my transmission fluid was basically getting so hot it was boiling and had caused major damage to my valve body. I had to replace the valve body and put in an external coolant system which cost $2700. The repairs were not covered by nissan as my transmission warranty was only up to 60,000 miles, however this is a serious manufacturing issue that needs to be addressed by nissan. |
