Description of the problem | Brought our vehicle to the dealer 6/21/16 to be serviced for failure to accelerate after coming to a stop at intersections. At first we were told it was the cvt and we'd need a new transmission. Then they replaced a valve and said it was fine. Two days later the car jerks and shudders while driving below 45 mph and violently shudders and shakes while stationary; feels like something is pushing it. Malfunction indicator light went on after this. Brought it back to the dealer and was told there is a "misfire" and that it's completely separate from the previous problem. Waiting to hear the diagnosis. Seeing many similar complaints online with most relating to the cvt. It's very scary to be in the car with my kids when it was jerking and shuddering. |
