Description of the problem	While driving at a speed of 65 mph on the interstate in heavy traffic the vehicle started loosing power at a fast rate causing me to have to coast off the interstate onto the shoulder of the interstate. The vehicle is still idling but will not go forward. After approximately 15 to 20 minutes the vehicle will go again. But again after a few miles of driving on the interstate at a speed of 65 to 70 mph the vehicle again starts loosing power causing us again to pull over to the shoulder in heavy traffic on the interstate. When we return home i did some digging into the history of this vehicle with this particular transmission and find many complaints with the same problem. After having nissan service department look into it they find the transmission is overheating causing it to shut down. Our warranty will cover the cost of repair but nissan requires an cooler to be placed on the transmission before it can be completely repaired due to this issue occurring in this particular transmission but the consumer has to pay out of pocket approximately $1000. 00 for this cooler to be added to the vehicle because the cooler is an addition to the drive train. This is an ongoing issue nissan has with this particular transmission, we were very lucky both times this has happened on the interstate in heavy traffic to get off the interstate going from a high rate of speed to completely loosing power without causing an accident.
