Description of the problem | My wife and granddaughter were travelling in our 2013 nissan rogue when it developed a problem. She stated she was on a major highway when it suddenly lost power and a truck following behind her almost slammed into her. I couldn't believe this happened and decided to drive it myself on a 600 mile trip. When i was 3/4's of the way through i noticed a drop in speed and when depressing the accelerator it failed to go any faster. When i traveled up hill my speed went down to 30 mph and i had to pull over due to traffic backing up behind me. I later learned this is an issue with the nissan cvt. Now i am unable to trust taking this car on any other long trips due to safety issues. I can't take a chance of another family member being killed due to the inherent problems that nissan has refused to repair or address. |
