Description of the problemDriving 70-75 mph on i-80 west less than a year after bought used. Began hearing high-pitched whine that stopped when i lifted my foot from the accelerator. Continued two miles to plaza with sound getting louder and had to coast into parking area because transmission would no longer engage. No revving, nothing. Towed home ($213). Fine for months, then happened again on turnpike. Pulled over, waited an hour to cool. Drove rest of distance going 50 mph or less. Finally had to floor gas pedal to get any movement after stoplights. Now makes buzzing-screaming noise every time it starts, in neutral or otherwise. Nissan dealer says $4,000 for repair. I'm 67, on fixed income and still making payments!
