Description of the problemI was driving on the highway at the speed limit of 70 mph. I had the cruise control set and was coming up to a small hill. The car began to accelerate as normal to get up the hill. As soon as i began to descend the hill, the car was still trying to accelerate and the rpms started to get up to the 6000s. I immediately turn of cruise control and let the rpms go back down before trying to accelerate to stay going to speed limit. The car would not accelerate and the rpms would go up quickly with barely any touch to the gas pedal, so i pulled over on the side of the highway. The car gave me no warning what so ever and left me in a dangerous situation. While trying to pull off the highway at a safe speed with 18-wheeler trucks having to slow down and go around me causing other cars to slam on their breaks to avoid rear-ending the trucks.
