Description of the problem | When driving my car will be moving just fine and out of nowhere i will loose ability to accelerate. The car will go up to 3 rpm and stay, will not go faster with the pedal to the floor. This will happen wether the car is in cruise control or not. The car will also loose ability to go up hills and properly accelerate from a stop. This happened last summer and has been fine fine this winter. Friday it started again this time in heavy traffic. This almost caused a semi to crash into us as it went from 70 mph to 50 very quickly without warning. This car is not safe for this reason. They only way i know to fix it is to stop, turn off the car and wait. This does not mean it will fix it. I have looked into it and it seems to be an issue with the transmission. This car does not have enough miles to warrant a new transmission. |
