Description of the problem | In april of 2017 while driving ther wa a metal on metal sound coming from underneth the car while stepping or accerlating on the gas. After taking to my mechanic i was advise that i needed a new catalytic converter there was no engine light notification. I recieved a letter in november 2017 from nissan stating that the evaporative emission vapor tube may develop a clog. After speaking with my mechanic he stated i should filed a claim which i did . Nissan stated that my new catalyic converter had nothing to do with my emmissions. I refiled my cliam after having my mechanic wrote a narrative i then recieve an e-mail from nissan stating that after reviewing my vehicle indentification number, there is no evaporative vent tube warranty extension related to the vin and those would be the reasons why the request would be deined. |
