Description of the problemThere is am acceleration issue with this car. When traveling 70 mph on the highway the rpms will go up to 4000 pr higher and lose acceleration. I went from 70 mph to less than 30 mph within seconds on a hill. Once i got to the top of the hill to where i could safely pull over to the side of the highway i turned the car off. I had to leave it off for at least 10 mins before i got the acceleration power back. If i tired before that it wouldnt accelerate even with the pedal to the floor. I have read a lot of complaints on this and nothing is being done. I was told it is the cvt transmission. I have only had this car for less than 2 years and it only has 76000ish miles on it. This issue has happened to me not once, twice, three times but five times now on the highway since reaching 60000+ miles on the car!! This is absolutely ridiculous and a major safety concern that needs to be recalled and addressed. I have 3 kids and if i get into a crash because of this i will be suing nissan for this faulty issue!!!!
