Description of the problem	Monday, 04/15/2019 @ approximately 1000 hours cst, while driving e-bound on i274 (chicago) our vehicle's (2017 nissan rogue, awd) braking system engaged (hard) on its own and the steering temporarily locked up. E-bound i274 traffic was congested and moving @ around 45 to 50 mph. We were traveling @ a safe distance (estimate 3 car lengths) from the vehicle in front of us. Vehicles behind us had to brake hard to avoid rear-ending our vehicle. Driving our vehicle was my spouse, i was in the front passenger seat and my 12 year old granddaughter was in the rear seat (driver's side). My best guess ... The unassisted braking action and locked steering seem to last 3-5 seconds. We immediately contacted the dealer of purchase to inquire as to the severity of the problem. They were not familiar with the symptoms/problem. We scheduled a service appointment for the 16th of april, 2019. Took the vehicle in and they could not determine the problem causing the vehicle to brake on it's own. They did note, on the work order/invoice that there is a "tsb related to . Activation of feb few aeb". $95. 00 charge assessed for their service. Thursday, 18 april 2019 @ approximately 2300 hours my spouse and granddaughter were returning from a play, while pulling into the driveway of our residence our vehicle repeated emergency braking and locked steering action. This unassisted action while driving is extremely dangerous!!!!!!
