Description of the problem | 2012 ram 1500 was repaired on 11/09/2018 due to 18v160000 frame bracket issue.. A few days after recall action occurred the engine check light came on signifying the gas cap was leaking and needed to be replaced. Dealer tech checked and said there was a small evaporation leak but the gas cap seemed to be sealing ok. Dealer tech reset the engine check light. Week later light came back on. I bought a new gas cap and replaced old one. Reset the engine check light. Message now back and i get no response from the dealer or chrysler customer support. If this is an evaporation leak in this fuel system i would believe this is an environment issue. How many others have had this recall performed and face the same issue? |
