Description of the problem | On the evening of january 14th 2015, i drove to a local gas station and shut off the engine while i put fuel in my truck. When i put the key in the ignition, the truck would not start and the message center stated "wrong key fob". The truck had to be towed to a local chrysler dealer. It has now been at the dealer for 5 days. The dealer thinks that possibly the wireless ignition module malfunctioned and needs to be replaced. The vehicle has 37,100 miles. My concern is that if this had happened while i was driving, the engine would have shut off, the steering wheel would have locked, and i would have lost control of my vehicle and may have crashed. |
