Description of the problem | Exhaust manifold bolts broken. I had 2 broken bolts on the passenger side and 1 on the driver side. This caused a ticking noise upon start up that would then go away after the engine warmed up. No regularly scheduled maintenance would have prevented this from happening and has to be a faulty part/design with the 5. 7l v8 hemi. Issue has been complained about on truck forums dating all the way back to 2008 models. Service for this repair was not covered under warranty due to age of the truck and mileage 114,800. |
