Description of the problem | Takata recall while the vehicle was in park the rotary knob would spin back and forth and wouldn't move out of park. It stated service transmission shifter. I diconnected the battery and reconnected it. Very quickly i moved it into drive and was able to get the truck into drive and in motion . Shortly after at a speed of approximately 70 mph, in the middle of the highway, the vehicle shifted from drive into neutral on its own causing the vehicle's engine to accelerate and once i was able to safely maneuver it to the side of the road, it came to a complete stop and it was stuck in park. I have taken the truck to the dealership in buford, ga for further evaluation. They have stated it was something to do with a code in the computer. |
