Description of the problem | This 2014 ram ecodiesel received the approved emission modification from fca at an authorized dealership on june 5th 2019. After receiving the engine software update the truck experiences significant delay in acceleration causing entering to traffic to be dangerous and unsafe. Example: on two occasions, i have attempted to enter traffic and have almost been broadsided as the vehicle will not accelerate despite pressing the gas pedal all the way down. On another occasion, i was attempting to drive up a steep road and the engine would appear to stall out causing the vehicle to remain stationary while attempting to go up hill. This vehicle never displayed any of this behavior prior to receiving the new engine software from fca. This vehicle is not dangerous, unsafe, and unpredictable to drive. |
