Description of the problem | While driving my children to the park my truck switched itself from drive to park. I was pulling up to a stop sign while this happened. The truck has a knob for the selection shift. My children were in the back and scared all of to death not to mention it almost caused an accident. The knob still said the vehicle was in drive, but the display said to push the brakes and put the vehicle into drive. Something similar happened a few months ago, but the time i thought maybe i had hit something with my knee or foot to cause it. I now know that there is a serious problem with that knob. I was still moving while applying the brake, then the truck just jerked to a stop. I first hit the gas, but the engine increased rpm, but the transmission was not engaged. I will not put my children in this truck again. |
