Description of the problem | I was exiting the vehicle the engine was running and i had put it into park, the vehicle suddenly went into reverse. I stepped out of the truck and was knocked over my legs were under the truck i managed to get them, out from under the truck, the edge of the front wheel caught my right foot pulling the sneaker off and spraining my ankle. The door caught my head and split it open. I had to go to the er for medical attention. I was the only one with injuries as no one else was involved in the accident. The truck continued in reverse and ran into a box van with a lift gate. It caused about $6000 damage to my truck there seems to be numerous incidents of problems with the rotary gear shift on these trucks where the truck has been in park and the truck went into reverse. This should be a safety recall. |
