Description of the problem | You already have an open investigation of this problem. Pe 16-014. I have had two instances of the truck rolling away after placing the rotary shift knob into park. Engine was running. First time i shifted into park, released the foot brake and it rolled. I moved the shifter to neutral then back to park and it engaged normally. The second time i placed the vehicle park and opened the door to exit. It started rolling away but i stopped it with the foot brake. I looked at the rotary shift control and it had an indicator light for "park". However, when i moved it to neutral i did not hear the normal click sound. Placed it back in park and it worked normally. Both incidents occurred at home (driveway) and the vehicle was completely stopped with engine running when they occurred. |
