Description of the problem | On random occasions the tail gate will fall open while the vehicle is in operation. I have spoken with other ramm owners and the problem seems to effect the 2017 and 2018 ram trucks. I have inspected and investigated the potential problem... I do not see an immediate problem, there are several online blogs and discussion threads of this problem. I believe this to be a safety issue that the manufacturer should work to resolve and offer a solution to all owners. I am reluctant to haul item in the bed of my truck due to this defect as the risk of something falling out and potentially injuring another motorist. I did purchase this vehicle used with several miles already on the vehicle , i suppose that the previous owner had the problem but was uncertian of how to resolve the problem. |
