Description of the problem | I entered my vehicle 2018ram1500 this morning after it had being stored inside my garage overnight. I sat down, pressed the brake and was about to start it when i noticed the shifter dial was on 'r' and began beeping continuously. I used the ignition button to switch from 'off' "acc" to 'start' and back/forth and pressing on the brake until i was able to shift the transmission to 'p'. Once in 'p' i pressed the brake and then started the truck. When i proceeded to move on reverse out of my garage, it began beeping continuously and flashing two messages on the display , "service shifter" followed by "service transmission shut off engine to engage park" then my radio blackout. I could still hear music and was able to control it but there was no display. |
