Description of the problem | Brake pedal travels excessively on first application of brakes with overall poor braking performance. A rapid second or third brake application brings brake pedal up to normal level, 1-2 inches higher than initial application resulting in normal braking performance. The issue feels like old style rear drum brakes that need to be adjusted but this truck has modern 4-wheel disc brakes. The pedal height to firm solid pedal can be experienced parked or in motion. The reduced braking performance is a high risk to safely driving the vehicle. |
