Description of the problem | My vehicle is subject to a safety recall (wue-90). After receiving the recall notice, i called my local dealer and requested an appointment to address the safety issue. I was told i could not get an appointment until october. However, if i scheduled my car for another paid service (a wheel alignment) they would fix the issue within three weeks. My questions are: 1) can a dealer postpone a safety recall for five months? And 2) can a dealer require a customer to pay for another service to get a timely appointment for a safety recall? |
