Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that he purchased the special feature adaptive auto pilot back in 06/2020. The contact stated that the automatic emergency braking activated independently while driving 65 mph, almost bringing the vehicle to an abrupt stop three times on the same day. The brake pedal was depressed to deactivate the feature, allowing for the vehicle to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to tesla (840 providence hwy, dedham, ma 02026 (781) 471-3001) to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The manufacturer suggested that the feature be turned off. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 14,000. |
