Description of the problem | My wife was t-boned this week at a 4-way stop (flashing red light) at approximately 40mph while driving my 2009 camry hb with side curtain and seat-mounted side air bags. This vehicle has seven airbags including driver front air bag, front seat-mounted driver side air bag, and driver side curtain air bag. She was wearing her seatbelt. No bags deployed! It appears her head went through the driver's side window. She was in icu with concussion, bleeding on the brain and brain swelling. Driver? S door was pushed in about 6 inches from the impact. I bought this car for the safety of the seven airbags. All maintenance on this low mileage vehicle was done at the local toyota dealer. |
