Description of the problem | 2007 - 2009 toyota camrys have been noted to have excessive oil consumption issues. My camry is burning approximately 2 qts every 3,000 miles. Per toyota's request, my car has been routinely serviced by toyota dealerships; however, no one has ever brought the known issue with my model year to my attention. The most i've ever heard, "your car was a little low on oil." with a published service bulletin, toyota should have notified all effected owners with this information. As the sole owner, and with 99,000 miles, my camry is beyond their warranty, and will require an engine rebuild to mitigate the issue. This is a poor design by toyota and is unacceptable. |
