Description of the problem | I noticed my camry was low on oil. Took it into the dealership. They said there is a recall on my engine for excessive oil consumption. They verified indeed my car has an excessive oil consumption problem. Toyota dealership said they would eventually fix it but all the parts are on back order. At first they said it could take a month or two. I called back a month later, dealership said they could not tell me a date and it may take a year until they have parts. I feel that my car is being compromised burning oil like this. I am having to put a quart in sometimes every 700 miles! What are the consequences of waiting this long to get the repair done and may having to wait a year if toyota even gets back to me. I feel that they are avoiding me and not actually going to fix this repair in a timely manner. |
