Description of the problem | I was not told by either toyota or toyota of tampa bay that there was an oil leak problem. I never received a notice in the mail. When i took my car in for service because of a burning smell, i was told to bring it back after driving for a 1,000 miles. I didn't - my error, but i wasn't told there was a warrenty or any kind of major issue. When i did go back, they ran the test again, telling me i'd get a new engine if there was a problem. When i did come back, the story changed to a rebuild engine. Then, when the service rep came to tell me the issue, he said my car had the issue, but the warranty had expired. My car, a 2009, has 67,000 miles on it. |
