Description of the problem | Every week, i use a cooler (standard size) for groceries and put the cooler in the trunk of my camry. Whenever i make sharp turns, the lid of the trunk would pop open, probably because the cooler hits the latch inside the trunk. I consider it quite dangerous because items might fall out of the trunk if it's open. To mitigate the problem, we place pieces of cardboard around the cooler to prevent it from sliding around. We took it back to the toyota dealer and they said this is the first time they have heard of this and there is nothing they can do about it. We use coolers all the time and never had this problem with other vehicles. Please investigate the issue. Thank you. |
