Description of the problem | Car parked in sun, dashboard material getting very sticky/gooey. If touched, it gets damaged. It shows a very shiny appearance when hot ( like if you used a tire shine on it), on sunny days it creates a lot of glare on the windshield affecting visibility. Dash cannot be wiped with anything because it is very sticky and gooey. I can accept dashboard damage on a 10year plus car, but not on a 4 year old car. This is clearly a material defect and it prompts for a recall. Specially because of the glare on the front windshield the dash creates when it is very hot. Lots of people complaining of this in many internet forums. Hopefully they will fill out a complain to get this matter resolved by toyota. |
