Description of the problem | I purchased my 2009 toyota camry 2. 4l while stationed in germany, it was manufactured to us specifications and i brought it stateside with me. I ran my vin in the toyota database to find out if the air bag or "sticky" dash board recalls applied to my vehicle. My vin did not register in the toyota database. I called toyota and they ran my vin, they explained that my vehicle was not visible in their database. The went on to explain, i would have to contact toyota in japan or germany for recall information and they would not be able to repair any recalls on my vehicle in the us. Does toyota not have an obligation to ensure my vehicle was manufactured properly and with quality materials to ensure its safe operation? |
