Description of the problem | This incident happened over time and was noticed approximately 4 years back. I just didn't know i could do anything about it until today when i googled "how to treat toyota shiny sticky/melted dash board". I've contacted toyota and they said they have sent out a letter stating that there was a warranty extension to anyone experiencing this issue. The problem was that as an owner i did not receive any notification of this warranty. I've had very visual distraction when driving in the direction of the sun. The dashboard is constantly being damaged when wiped with a clean/wet cloth. Toyota now states i am out of luck because i missed the warranty by 13 business days. This is a horrendous business practice to not replace a known issue. It has become a hazard on the road and should not be taken lightly. |
