Description of the problem | I was just at a stoplight. I was the first car. When i went to accelerate the car did not pick up speed for at least a full minute. I was afraid someone driving behind me would run into my car or start honking because i was driving so slow. It happened at the stop light prior too, but it wasn't as noticeable because i ran into another stop light almost immediately. I called toyota and was advised to take the car to a certified toyota dealer after i read a report on cars. Com that said the problem might be due to a combination of an engine control module software glitch and a faulty torque converter. I later read that the brake pedal may need adjusting because the gas pedal thinks the brake pedal is on. |
