Description of the problem | Acceleration hesitation, numerous instances. Advancing from a stop or at low speed, the camry hesitates to accelerate for 2-10 seconds. On june 2, 2017 i had driven 5 blocks, stopped at a stop sign, then advanced to enter 35-40 mph highway traffic. The car achieved about 8 mph, then would not accelerate for over 5 seconds while traffic is coming at me. Very dangerous! I have a dealer appointment on 06june2017 to have this looked at again. They have tried diagnosing this two previous times and could find nothing. They said the transmission 'learns' from the driver, so they erased the learning to start afresh. This did not cure the problem. The hesitation is infrequent, but very dangerous. No regular pattern to it. Can occur when starting a drive, or when thoroughly warmed up. |
